Project Background Brief:
At PPG Projects, we take immense pride in showcasing our recent triumph in elevating lighting systems to new heights of efficiency and innovation. Our project in Arundel, exemplifies our commitment to delivering cutting-edge electrical engineering solutions that set benchmarks in the industry.
In response to the unique lighting needs, we embarked on a transformative journey by installing a comprehensive toplighting system. This included the meticulous installation of 1200 1030W fittings, totalling an impressive 1.236 MW. Our engineers spared no effort in designing and implementing a new wiring infrastructure that seamlessly accommodates the toplighting system, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
To streamline electrical circuit management and enhance the precision of LED control systems, our team executed the supply and installation of distribution boards. This strategic placement facilitates efficient control and monitoring, contributing to the overall success of the lighting system. Additionally, distribution cabling was expertly installed, reaching lighting zone terminals with precision and reliability.
To ensure a robust and reliable power supply, we undertook the supply and installation of the Main incoming panel. This panel, designed specifically for incoming power from the transformer, is tailored to meet the demands of the LED lighting and control system load exclusively. Our solution is engineered to optimize energy usage and enhance the overall performance of the lighting infrastructure.
Particular Challenges:
At the heart of this transformation is a customized vertical growing system, a pioneering approach that maximizes space utilization while optimizing crop yields. Our unique lighting solution, tailored to the specific needs of the crops, not only ensures uniform growth but also significantly enhances energy efficiency.
The project further boasts a specialist climate computer, integrating state-of-the-art technology to meticulously control and monitor environmental conditions within the greenhouse. Paired with advanced lighting controls, this system provides growers with unparalleled precision in managing the cultivation environment.
